Aspek Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Lemeduk (Barbodes schwanenfeldii) di Sungai Belumai Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research was done in Belumai River Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara. This research was done in May until June 2014 in four different locations by using census method. The purpose of this research is to know the aspect of growth (the length weight relationship, the condition factor, and the growth coefficient) and to know the reproduction (the sex ratio, the gonad maturity level, the gonad maturity index, the size of the first mature gonad, fecundity, and the egg diameter). The number of lemeduk fish (Barbodes schwanenfeldii) which caught is 55 fish. The results of the Von Bertalanffy growth equation for female lemeduk female with asymptotic length (L∞) is 282.45 mm, for male lemeduk with asymptotic length (L∞) is 304.50 mm, and the growth coefficient for female lemeduk is 0.4750 and for male fish is 0.750. The equation of the length weight relationship of a female lemeduk is Lt = 282.45 (1-e -0.4750 (t-0.18)) and for male lemeduk fish is Lt = 304.50 (1-e -0.750 (t- 0.11)). The condition factor for the female lemeduk and male lemeduk are about 0.946-1.059. The sex ratio is consisting of 21 females fishes and 34 male fishes with a balanced sex ratio. The maturity gonad level for lemeduk female fish and male fish are found in I-IV. The gonad maturity index for female fish is 0,05% - 9,66% and for male fish is 0,05% - 9,75%. The size of the first mature gonad for male fish is 193 mm. The fecundity of female lemeduk is 8635-54372 points. The distribution of the female lemeduk egg diameter is 0.068-0.1202 mm.
