Catfish (Pangasius sp) is the most widely used fish for the aquaculture
activities. In aquaculture, the main problem often faced by farmers is disease. One
of the cautions diseases of farmer is pathogenic bacteria. The illness of catfish are
obtained from embankment is located Pond of Freshwater Fish Aquaculture Of
Beling City Tanah Air Districts Tanjung Anom. The aim of this research to know
the Potential Pathogens Bacteria cause of infection in catfish. This research was
held from July to August 2017 in BKIPM Laboratory of Class I Medan I. The
isolation and characterization of bacterial pathogen of the catfish use dilution
method and spread method. The organs target for isolation of pathogenic bacteria
are kidney, liver and pond water aquaculture. Based on research indicate that
catfish has four species which is very potential as pathogen bacteria, which is
Aeromonas salmonicida, Aeromonas sobria, Aeromonas caviae and Yersenia spp
