dc.description.abstractStudies and characterization film of chitosan and nano hydroxyapatite with glycerol plastisizer. The research on studies and characterization film of chitosan and nano hydroxyapatite with glycerol plastisizer has been carried out. It was expected that incorporation of nano hydoxyapatite into chitosan as polymer matrix has been carried out to increase significant enchancement of mechanical strength. The film of chitosan and nano hydroxyapatite with glycerol plastisizer was characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM}, Fourier- Transformed Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and mechanical strength. Results from FT-IR confirmed the existence of Nano Hydroxyapatite in the film and the SEM analysis indicated that hydroxyapatite was dispersed homogeneously in chitosan. The mechanical properties of the film were tested using Universal Testing Machine. The film chitosan and nano hydroxyapatite with glycerol plastisizer had tensile strength 8,30 MPa and elongation 30, 95% dry states.en_US
