Plant evapotranspiration can also be referred to as plant water requirements where, evapotranspiration can be estimated to determine the volume of watering. This study aims to assess the water requirements of paprika (Capsicum annum L.) plants using the Penman-Monteith and Hargreaves method of potential evapotranspiration. The method used for estimating plant evapotranspiration in this study was the Penman-Monteith and Hargreaves method and then compared with the actual plant water requirements using a soil moisture tester with treatments of 100% FC, 75% FC and 50% FC. The results of the study showed that the Penman-Monteith method had a watering volume of 93-163 ml/day; according to the Hargreaves method, the watering volume is 85-148 ml/day; while the average actual water requirement of paprika plants is 190-306 ml/day. Plant water requirements based on the Penman- Monteith method and the Hargreaves method have a lower value than the actual plant water requirements based on Field Capacity.en_US
