Tubers can be used as alternative electricity. Tubers have high content of calcium, potassium and folic acid. Tubers have an low pH so it can produce alternative electrical energy. Fermentation is done to obtain the acidity of a material. The more acidic the material, the lower the pH, so the higher the voltage and electric current produced. This study aims to obtain alternative electrical energy by testing the potential of the tubers current, voltage, resistance, power and electrical energy with variations in fermentation time. The research method uses a literature study first. Furthermore, using a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 treatments. The results showed that the highest curret, voltage, electric power and electrical energy within 17 days fermentation of shallots with a magnitude of 0.2 mA, 2.65 V, 0.53 mWatt and 269.77 mWh, while the lowest was found within 17 days fermentation of garlic, namely the curret, voltage, electrical energy with a magnitude 0.02 mA, 2.16 V, 0.04 mWatt and 5.24 mWh. Tubers (onion, shallots and garlic) have the potential to produce electrical energy.en_US
