The Description Of Parents Affection For Their Children In Batak Toba Selected Songs.

Abstract

This paper conveys about literary works, namely songs. In this paper, the researcher discusses the theme of the selected song. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of parents feeling of love and the elements that containing affection. The method used in the preparation of this paper is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through reading books and journals that discuss literary works and the theme of love, and reading data on song lyrics and listening to the songs discussed. In this paper shows that we can see how the parent’s feeling affection towards their children are depicted in the songs discussed. Not all songs imply praise, admiration, and flattery, but there are also songs that convey elements of affection such as parental love for their children.
