| dc.description.abstract | This paper used figure of speech theory, which aims describe the figure of speech
in eight Lauv songs with the theme of Love. There are 7 types of figure of speech
found in Lauv songs. Namely Personification, Simile, Hyperbole, Metaphor,
Irony, Metonymy, Litotes. There are totally 31 figure of speech in the lyrics of the
song, personification is the most dominant type of figure of speech that appears in
this song, the use of hyperbole in the song give parable of the object in this song,
using the theory of figure of speech put forward Leech. Through this paper, it is
hoped that the reader can understand the use of figure of speech andf the types in
this song, so that the massage of the author can convey to the listener of the song.
The result of this paper will be able to give contribution to the readers whoa are
