dc.description.abstractCovid-2019 (Corona virus disease 2019) has been rapidly spreading through small particles on air and enters human respiration. The prevention from it through family’s support is important for keeping healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective of the reseach is to find out the effects of family’s emotional, informational and instrumental support on preventing Covid-19. The research employs quantitative method with cross sectional design. It is done in the area of Deli Serdang Regency in November, 2021. The population is made up of 504.955 familys, and 270 of them are taken as the samples by using voluntary sampling thecnique. The data are gathered by distributing questionnaires in the Google form and analyzed by using univariare analysis, bivariate analysis, and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression tests. The result of the research shows that 69,3% of the respondents are classified into good category in preventing Covid-19. The result of bivariate analysis shows that there are some effect of family’s emotional, informational and instrumental support on Covid-19 prevention at p-value = 0,001 (p<0,05). The result of multivariate analysis shows that the family emotional support (OR=3,526; CI 95%= 1.172 – 10.607), informational support (OR = 8,258; CI 95% = 3,479 – 19,600) and instrumental support (OR = 8,224; CI 95% = 3,802 – 17,789) have significant effect on the prevention from Covid-19 (p<0,05). The conclusion is that family’s informational support has dominant effects on Covid-19 prevention in the families in Deli Serdang Regency. Therefore, educative and attractive information can become the refrence to prevent Covid-19 in people’s daily lifeen_US
