The gambier leaves compression tool using a mechanical screw pres is a gambier leaf pressing tool which functions to manage gambier leaves and produce gambier sap optimaly. The purpose of this study was to test the performance of the gambier leaves press usng a mechanical screw press, in this test using 10 kg of gambier leaves. The results of this study explain that in this test using a 2 hp fuel motor, with a rotation speed of 1480 rpm, 1200 rpm and 1000 rpm with a capacity of 1o kg/minute. The result of the technical test at a rotation speed of 1480 rpm produced 6,403ml of sap 4,76 kg of pulp, 64,46 ml/hour pf tool capacity 41,282 ml/hour of yield capacity and 522,18 ml/hour of fuel consumption. For a rotation speed of 1200 rpm, the gum produced is 5,708 ml, pulp 5,58 kg, tool capacity is 62,82 kg/hour, yield capacity is 35,864 ml/hour, fuel consumption 69,40 ml/hour. And at a speed 1000 rpm the sap produced was 5,635 ml, pulp 6,06 kg, equipment capacity 45,65 kg/hour, yield capacity 25,731 ml/hour, fuel consumption 69,40 ml/hour. In the ergonomic aspect using ergofellow software which in the final result is that there is a need for further development of the tool.en_US
