Analisis Pengaruh Intensitas Kebisingan terhadap Tingkat Pendengaran dan Konsentrasi Pekerja pada Mesin Sawmill di UD. Mutiara Jaya, Percut Sei Tuan
Abstract
Noise to workers can be caused by the use of tools or machines, one of which is in a wood processing factory. Working environmental conditions can affect several factors, noise in the long term can disrupt calm at work and damage the concentration of workers. The purpose of this study was to measure the intensity of the noise of the saw (bandsaw) machine, Identifying workers' perceptions of noise in the Sawmill and to analyze the effect of the noise of the saw machine (bandsaw) on the concentration power of workers due to wood cutting at wood Processing UD. Mutiara Jaya Percut Sei Tuan. This research was conducted at the location of UD. Mutiara Jaya is located in Deli Serdang Regency. This research was conducted in November 2021. The research method used to collect data is measurement and interview. Measurements were made on 2 bandsaw machines while operating to determine the intensity of the bandsaw noise. Interviews were conducted during the perception test and the respondent's concentration test. The perception test was analyzed using a Likert scale to identify workers' perceptions of the noise of the bandsaw when using ear protection and without using ear protection. The concentration test was carried out using a nonparametric test, namely the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to measure the effect of engine noise saw (bandsaw) on the respondent's concentration power when using ear protection equipment and without using ear protection equipment. This result shows that the intensity of the bandsaw noise at UD. Mutiara Jaya, Percut Sei Tuan is 103.100 and 103.017 dB, respectively. The study showed that there were differences in perception between operators and non-operators of the saw machine (bandsaw) and there was a significant effect on the concentration power of the bandsaw operator and non-operator in the two treatments given, namely before and after the bandsaw operator and non-operators wear ear protection.
