    Abstract
The Marching Band is a field music unit, which is used or played in rows with a percussion group as the support for the march, in addition to the wind instrument group as a melody supporter and the Color Guard group as a beauty effect. The USU Marching Band took part in a championship in Bandung called BMBC in 2019. At the championship, the USU Marching Band took part in the Brass Band competition with the theme Corpse Bride. At the show, the USU Marching Band played three songs taken from the film, including: 1. Main titles 2. Remains of the day 3. The wedding song. For this reason, the author uses the theory put forward by Milton Singer Singer (1996) to examine a performance there are 7 things that must be considered, namely: limited show time, has a beginning and an end, organized activities, a group of performers, a group of spectators, a performance venue, and opportunity to show. And to analyze the musical form, the writer uses Prier's theory which states that the form of music is an idea/idea that appears in the processing/arrangement of all musical elements in a composition (melody, rhythm, harmony and dynamics). The author uses a qualitative method with the first data collection technique is a literature study, and the second a field study includes, observation, interviews, recording, shooting, and data analysis. The result of the research that the writer found were that the three songs perfomed by the USU Marching Band were unique, such as the tempo of the songs that fluctuated in one song, the use of more the one meter in one song (polymetric), and the melodic carrier was not fixed on only one instrument.
