| dc.description.abstract | Description of Cawir Metua in Karo Traditional Ceremony. The purpose of this research is
to find out the procedure and functions of Cawir Metua in Karo Traditional Ceremony. The
method used by the writer in this study is qualitative description to obtain certain data by
searching and collecting several books and journals related to the description of Cawir Metua.
The writer conducted interviews with several people who understood the Cawir Metua
tradition, and then described it. The procedure of Cawir Metua consist of three main parts, is :
the initial procedure, the traditional ceremony, and the final procedure. There are three
functions of Cawir Metua in this paper, is: 1. Giving respect and appreciation to the deceased;
2. Strengthening kinship in the family; 3. Maintaining cultural heritage. | en_US |
