Pengelolaan Arsip Dinamis di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Medan

Abstract

The research is carried out at the Library and Archive Agency in the city of Medan. This paper aims to find out the management of dynamic archives at the Library and Archive Agency in the city of Medan. Data are collected using library research, observation, interview, and documentation. The result shows the dynamic archive management at the Library and Archive Agency Medan is l) archive creation is divided into two, namely incoming and outgoing letters, the creation of outgoing letters is based on Official Structure; 2)the use of archive is arranged based on Archive Classification number and kept on the shelves and filing cabinets, the archive borrowing is carried out using Safety Classification System and Archive Access, the archive retrieval is still carried out manually; 3) archive maintenance is only limited to preservation, destruction, and submission based on Archive Retention Schedule. Therefore, it can be concluded that the management of dynamic archive at the Library and Archive Agency in the city of Medan generally have been carried out well. Medan Library and Archive Agency uses manual system and System of Medan Archive Management (SIM Kearsipan).
