Strategi Pengembangan Bisnis Jasa Angkutan (Studi pada CV. Batang Pane Baru, Jalan Sisingamangaraja Medan)

Abstract

CV. Batang Pane Baru is the one of business which is moves in bus transportation in Medan. Where at now, many people in Medan needs for using the bus transportation. In the development of this business, we need a right strategy for the achievement of desired by the trade can be properly controlled so that operations run smoothly to widen it’s market share.

In addition the trade makes it easy to monitor the activities undertaken to evaluate the strategy adopted. This study was conducted to search for internal and external factors, namely the trade's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in formulating strategies that will be used in the development of its business. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques do interviews to the ownership, workers and drivers, and then doing observation in the terminal. The determination of the strategy, using internal and external factors in the form of a SWOT analysis. After the SWOT analysis of the obtained values IFAS and EFAS company that will be used in the internal matrix external (IE). The results of the study, selection strategies that can be used by the trade is to conduct market penetration, market development, product and technology development.
