dc.description.abstract | Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and has been declared a pandemic in all countries, especially in Indonesia. Transmission of COVID-19 occurs very quickly through the droplets of a person when coughing, sneezing and talking. Prevention efforts are carried out to prevent exposure to COVID-19, namely by implementing the 5M health protocol. The chain of spread of COVID-19 cannot be broken easily, because the mutation process is so fast. This study aims to determine the relationship between Knowledge and Attitude with 5M Compliance in Preventing COVID-19 Exposure to Binjai Market Traders in Binjai City in 2021. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design carried out at Tavip Binjai Market, Binjai City. The population in this study amounted to 921 people with the Slovin formula getting a sample of 91 people using Simple Random Sampling. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire with direct interviews. Analysis of the data in this study obtained through univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi Square whose results are described through the frequency distribution table. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge and compliance with the 5M health protocol in preventing exposure to COVID-19. There is no relationship between age, gender and last education with 5M health protocol compliance in preventing exposure to COVID-19. From the results of this study, traders are expected to comply with the 5M health protocol to protect themselves and others from contracting or transmitting the virus | en_US |
