stylosa Based Stake Level and Trees. Under the guidance of Yunasfi and Budi
Utomo.
Industrial activities, community and sea transport cause waste containing
heavy metals that cause pollution to the mangrove ecosystem and degrade water
quality.The purposes of this research were to analyzed the content of heavy metals
Cu and Pb on roots, leaves, the bark of R. stylosa and to knew the ability of R.
stylosa on accumulate heavy metals. The sample was located in Nelayan Village
sub-district Medan Labuhan. Analysis of heavy metals Cu and Pb was carried out
in a Laboratory Research, the Faculty of Pharmaceuticals, University of North
Sumatera. By using the method Atomic Arbsorbsion Spectrophotometer (AAS).
Results indicate heavy metal content of Cu and Pb in roots, bark and
leaves higher on the tree than the stake. Based on bioconcentration factor, the
ability of R. stylosa in accumulating heavy metals Cu categorized as high, while
the accumulation of heavy metals Pb categorized as low. | en_US |
