dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to investigate positive influence of reward and
punishment on employee performance and how much the influence is on employees of PT.
Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. The variables of this research are performance
(Y) as dependent variable, and reward variable (X1) and punishment variable (X2) as
independent variables.
The data analysis that has been used is quantitative method using SPSS 17.0. This
research used multiple linear regression analysis. The population of this research are all
employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan, and samples are selected by
using Slovin method. The collection of primary data using questionnaires.
The result showed that reeward and punishment has positve influence on employee
performance. It is based on the result of the t test, where the significance value of reward
(X1) = 0,02 and significance value of punishment (X2) = 0,016, this value is smaller that α =
0,05. The coefficient of determination test obtained R value = 0,175, which shows the
influence of reward and punishment on employees performance of PT. Perkebunan
Nusantara III (Persero) Medan is 17,5% , and the remaining 82,5% (100% - 17,5%)
explained by other variables that not included in this research. | en_US |
