Retail business is currently favored by many businesses. On the street A.R
Hakim Pendidikan alley, the grocery store is highly developed and needed by
local communities to meet their daily needs. The owner of a grocery store on the
street AR Hakim, Pendidikan alley required to keep finding and determine
appropriate strategies to anticipate and defend their business and can excel in the
face of competition around it. Therefore, every grocery store owner must consider
the correct strategy to maintain and expand its business. It is also done to
determine the strategy of their respective owners in the grocery store business on
the street AR Hakim Pendidikan alley, Medan.
Formulation of the problem in this study was to determine how the
business strategies implemented around the grocery store owner on the street.A.R
Hakim ,Pendidikan alley in developing a business?
The method used was a qualitative comparative method. Data were
obtained from observation, interview. Analysis using 7R Strategy analysis (right).
Informants in this study amounted to 13 people. The use of informants using
sampling purposesive.
Results of research conducted shows that the strategy used by each
business owner to develop a grocery store.
