The effort of managing seed after picked mature seed from important trees
have been done, in the effort of the seed quality improvement for mangrove
woods rehabilitation, even less is the planting didn’t do immediately in the field, these things worried will affect seeds degeneration when planting. The repening process was the best way to defend the propagule viability when saving, beside can accelerate the sprouting also can make the fresh aroma disappear until decrease the pest attack intensity.
This research is using Rhizophora stylosa propagule with RAL (complete
random design) by treatment 2,4,6,8,10,12,14, and 16 repening days. The
monitoring parameters are height, diameter, leafs wide, crown dry weight, root dry weight and also ratio of the crown dry weight and root degree. The result of this research shows that 8 days repening giving the real effect to the growth of Rhizophora stylosa seeds with 7,40, diameter 0,43 cm, leafs wide 13,45 cm2, crown dry weight 1,16 g, root dry weight and the degree of crown and root ration is 0,95 g
