Peran Aplikasi Delivery Courier Lokal (Go-Seh) dalam Mensejahterakan Driver Online di Kabanjahe Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

Along with the times in the field of telecommunications, transportation services are increasingly developing in the life of modern Indonesian society. With the development of online transportation services through smartphones or mobile phones, it is easier for the public as consumers to get transportation services that can be done online in their activities. Examples of online transportation services at this time are Grab, Go-Jek, Taxi, Maxim, and so on. With the various transportation services, it is possible for the people of Karo Regency to create applications for similar transportation services that already exist. In the Karo Regency area, precisely in Kabanjahe-Berastagi, there has also been a transportation service application, namely the GOSEH application. Initially this application was an application created by Ikhwan Syahlani to help run a family-owned business, namely a bakery business. Over time, until 2018 this application began to develop and was called GOSEH (which can be interpreted as Enggo = Already, and Seh = Until). This application operates like other transportation service applications such as: passenger delivery, delivery of goods, ordering/delivery of food, to the means of payment transactions. In addition, the GOSEH application was created to help build the economic strength of small communities in Tanah Karo, such as people who are having certain businesses/businesses, and also to people who are GOSEH drivers. Therefore, I am interested in bringing up the title "The Role of Local Delivery Courier Applications (Go-Seh) in the Prosperity of Online Drivers in Kabanjahe, Karo Regency". The research objectives of this thesis are to find out how the Local Delivery Courier (Go-Seh) application has developed up to the present time and to find out how the creation of the Go-Seh application has affected the welfare of drivers in Karo Regency. Based on the results of this study, the creation of an application (Go-Seh) in Karo Regency, especially in the Kabanjahe area, is very helpful for the community, both application users and Go-Seh drivers. In completing this research, the research method used is a qualitative research method with interview data collection techniques and also observations made by researchers.
