dc.description.abstractThe study entitled Political Outdoor Advertising and Political Behavior (Correlational Study About Effect of Political Outdoor Advertising on the Election of Governor/Vice Governor of North Sumatra in 2013 to Political Behavior of Society in Dr. Mansyur, Padang Bulan, Medan). The theory used in this research is the Theory of Political Communication, Political Outdoor Advertising Theory, and the Theory of Political Behavior. The method used in this study is correlational aims to find a relationship between variables with other variables. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of a single table, cross table analysis, and hypothesis through Rank-Order coefficient level formula by Spearman and is supported by using a Guilford scale. Sampling techniques in this study is simple random sampling namely select a sample that is by providing equal opportunities to all members of the population to be designated as members of the sample. The sample selection is done with the help of a table of random sampling. The population in this study was the people that staying in Dr. Mansyur Street Padang Bulan that registered as DPT of KPU Medan in 2013 as much as 1267 people, comprising 612 men and 655 women. Sampling techniques in this study using Taro Yamane formula with 10% precision and 90% confidence level for a total sample of this study amounted to 93 people. Data collection techniques used in this study in two ways, namely Library Studies and Field Studies. Based on the results of the study proved that "There is a significant relationship (Ha 1, Ha 2, and Ha 5) and low but definite relationship (Ha 3 and Ha 4) between the Political Outdoor Advertising on the Election of Governor/Vice Governor of North Sumatra in 2013 to Political Behavior of Society in Dr. Mansyur Street, Padang Bulan, Medan" with the number of correlation is 0.626 for Gusman, 0.598 for Esja, 0,281 for Charly, 0.378 for the Amri-RE, and 0.418 for Ganteng. To determine the level of significance level results of hypothesis, significance value findings is 0.00, which is smaller than 0.05, so conclusioned between the two variables is significant.en_US
