    Abstract
This research has raised the title, namely Plantation Society in Facing the Covid-19 (Study at the Plantation of PT. Socfindo Kebun Tanah Besih, Tebing Syahbandar District, Serdang Bedagai Regency). Seeing the reality that happened that the plantation society in the Tanah Besih garden had their own way of looking at and adapting in the midst of the Covid-19. With the hectic schedule of working in the plantation field and in the latex processing industry, plantation society still take the time to maintain the immunity of themselves and their families at home and with their co-workers by maintaining the 5M health protocol and following the vaccination program ordered by the central government. The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. There were 11 informants in this study with details of 7 primary informants as plantation society and 4 secondary informants as village heads, community leaders and polyclinic heads. The purpose of this research is to find out how the plantation society in Tanah Besih village views Covid-19 and to find out how the plantation society in Tanah Besih village protects themselves from Covid-19. The method in this research is the technique of finding sources of information in accordance with the criteria and guided by observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study use the AGIL concept proposed by Talcott Parsons that each system must complement each other to maintain the sustainability and resilience of the system. The linkage of the four AGIL schemes and points in social life is part of the process of community change, which states that society is a system in controlling a system of action. The structure of society adheres to a system of action because society is in a transitional period, so that people must adhere to the four schemes of Talcott Parsons' theory, namely adapting, having a purpose in life, establishing good relationships and motivating themselves. In addition to maintaining health protocols and participating in vaccination programs, the adaptations carried out by plantation society include other activities such as exercising around the field in the afternoon, cycling with the bicycle community, taking vitamins and immune-boosting supplements. Empirical facts revealed by the village government and the head of the company's polyclinic that the Covid-19 in Tanah Besih village are still zero (0) positive cases. This has made the village government along with community leaders and the company's polyclinic continue to strive to reduce the transmission rate of Covid-19 in the Tanah Besih village plantation area. In maintaining this achievement, the government and companies cooperate with all levels of society, local government agencies, companies at the regional level, students who are doing KKN (Real Work Lectures) and various policies such as socializing the dangers of the Covid-19, implementing the 5M (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, reducing mobility), village guard posts, vaccination programs and so on. Other empirical facts reveal that there are different views/perspectives between functional and dysfunctional social structures, resulting in an imbalance (unequilibrium) in the midst of plantation communities.
