dc.description.abstractIn Indonesia there are still many people who still do not have a home and not have adequeate shelter in accordance with their need and desire. The increase in income will encourage the purchasing power to buy a house. For families who already have a home or the so called established, the need for tehe house was used for a second home or for business. House into an attractive business area because it provides benefits to its owner for example house for rent to students who migrate from other cities to study in the city concerned. One type of credit provide by banks and much in demand by the people of Indonesia are home loans or better known as KPR. A mortgage bank loans to assist clients in meeting the needs of his. This study aimed to examine the effect of interest rates on home loans to the mortgage volume. Research area is the state savings Bank Tabungan Negara Iskandar Muda Medan. The population in this study is a report realization PT. saving Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Branch office Iskandar Muda field that contains the data volume and the motgage interest rate cover letter that includes interest rate counter, credit terms, the statements of the dtermination of interest rate, changes in mortgage rate in 2011- 2013. The analytical method used is the Simple Linear Regression model. The test hypotheses simultaneously and partially used t test, while the test to test whether the distribution of the data follow a normal distribution using or approaching normality test and the coefficient of dtermination (R2) aims to measure how far the model’s ability to explain variation in the dependent. Result of research and hypothesis testing shows that simultaneous variable interest rate mortgage loans, affect the volume of home loans. Partial result of the analysis variable mortgage interest rate have a significant effect on the volume of home loans PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Iskandar Muda Medan.en_US
