    Abstract
    Becak bermotor merupakan transportasi yang masih digunakan oleh masyarakat Kota Medan. Tetapi beberapa tahun terakhir ini eksistensinya semakin menurun akibat persaingan dengan transportasi online yang semakin banyak di Kota Medan. Akibatnya pendapatan becak bermotor juga berkurang, sehingga mempengaruhi perilaku berlalu lintasnya. Selain itu sistem antridan zonasi dalam mengambil penumpang di Universitas Sumatera Utara juga mempengaruhi perilaku becak bermotor. Perilaku berlalu lintas becak bermotor di kota Medan sudah menjadi sorotan masyarakat karena perilakunya yang sudah sangat memprihatinkan. Tidak hanya dari perilakunya saja, tetapi terlihat juga dari ketidak lengkapan pada kendaraan becak bermotornya. Perilaku berlalu lintas becak bermotor dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik internal maupun eksternal. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah penelitian kualitatif yang berusaha menggambarkan perilaku berlalu lintas pengendara becak bermotor di Kota Medan.Penelitimemilih lokasi di Kota Medan dan dikhususkan pada daerah sekitar kampus Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penetapan informan secara purposive sampling. Ada dua jenis informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pertama, penarik becak bermotor yang telah berprofesi sebagai penarik becak lebih dari 2 tahun kemudin kedua, pengguna jasa becak bermotor. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tiga metode yaitu wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi dan dokumentasi. Interpretasi data dilakukan secara bertahap mulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data hingga diperoleh kesimpulan dan rekomendasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian dalam bentuk wawancara dan observasi menunjukan bahwa perilaku berlalu lintas becak bermotor di kota Medan mayoritas berperilaku menyimpang tetapi tidak semua penarik becak bermotor melakukan penyimpangan. Perilaku menyimpang dilatarbelakangi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Perilaku penarik becak lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal seperti setoran yang harus dibayarkan, pendapatan yang harus mencukupi kebutuhan sehari-hari, kemudian tekanandari pesaing transportasi lain seperti angkot, kemudian transportasi online dan yang terakhir adalah menurunya jumlah penumpang. Kehidupan di dunia becak bermotor yang keras membentuk kebiasaan perilaku menyimpang si penarik becak yang menjadi senjata bertahan hidup di dunia becak bermotor yang keras.
     
    Motorized rickshaw is transportation is still used by the people of Medan. But these last few years its existence is declining due to competition with online transport more and more in Medan. As a result the income of motorized rickshaw also decreases, thus affecting the behavior of its traffic. Other than that queued system and zoning in taking passengers at the University of North Sumatra also affect the behavior of motorized rickshaw. Traffic behavior motorized rickshaw in Medan has become the public spotlight because his behavior is already very apprehensive. Not only from his behaviorbut also visible fromincompleteness of the motorized rickshaw. The behavior of motorized rickshaw traffic is influenced by various factors, both internal and external. The type of research used by researchers isqualitative researchwhich attempts to describe the behavior of trafficmotorized rickshaw drivers in Medan.researchers chose the location in the city of Medan and devoted to the area around the campus of the University of North Sumatra. Withdrawal of informants by purposive sampling, There are two types informants in this research that ismotorized rickshaw puller who has been working as a rickshaw puller for more than 2 years, and users of motorized rickshaw services. Data were collected by using three methods that is semi structured interview, observation and documentation. Interpretation of data is done in stages starting from data collection,reduction of data until the conclusions and recommendations of research are obtained. The results of the research in the form of interviews and observations show thatthe behavior of pedestrian motorized traffic in the city of Medan the majority of behaved deviantbut not all motorized rickshaw pullers do deviations.Behavior deviant backed by internal and external factors.The behavior of rickshaw pullers is more influenced by external factors such as deposits that must be paid, income that must be sufficient for daily needs, then pressure from other transport competitors such as angkot, then online transportationand the last is the decline in the number of passengers.Life in the world of motorized rickshaws forms the behavioral habit of devianting the tower of the chaos that became the weapon of survival in the world of motorized rickshaws.
