Good product quality to win the competition between smartphones and
brand also influence the perception of the public to make purchases. Smartphone
iPhone brand is one smartphone brand known to the public as one of the
smartphones that have high product quality and its advanced features. In
addition, the iPhone also have the high prestige value for the wearer compared
with other smartphone brands.
Formulation of the problem in this research is how much influence the
quality of products on purchase decisions branded iPhone smartphone on
students of Business Administration / Business FISIP USU, how much influence
the purchasing decision smartphone brand brand iPhone on students of Business
Administration / Business FISIP USU and how much influence product quality
and brand to brand iPhone smartphone buying decision on the students of
Business Administration / Business FISIP USU.
Forms of research used in this research is associative with a
quantitative approach. Methods of data collection is done through a
questionnaire, literature study and documentation study. The sampling technique
used in this study is Snowball sampling and accidental sampling. The authors
took a sample of 85 respondents. Data processing techniques using the SPSS 19.0
software.
Based on the hypothesis test obtained a positive value of 0.000. This
means that a significant difference between the quality of products and brands to
influence purchase decisions with a level of 94.1% and the remaining 5.9% is
influenced by other factors, so the hypothesis states there is influence between
product quality and brand to brand iPhone smartphone buying decision the
students of Business Administration / Business FISIP USU acceptable.
