dc.description.abstractThe development of today’s business world is advancing. One business that has experienced the development and improvementis in the business industry sectors, especially in the chemical industry. PT Soci Mas is an industrial company that continues to grow and has a number of employees that many. In this study authors used the leadership and organizational culture as an independent variableto be studied how they affect the performance of employees This study aimed to determine the three hypotheses, namely: 1. What leadership PT. Soci Mas, 2. How does organizational culture PT. Soci Mas,3. The influence of leadership on the performance of employees PT. Soci Mas, 4. The influence of organizational culture on employee performance PT. Soci Mas, 5. Effect of leadership and organizational culture on employee performancePT. Soci Mas. The sampling method used is proportional random sampling. The sample size was obtained by 83 people who are employees who possess a working period of more than one year and an operational employees at PT. Soci Mas Deli Serdang.Forms of research used in this research is a form of associative research with a quantitative approach.Method of data collection is done through a questionnaire, literature study and documentation study. Large sample obtained by 83 respondents who are employees at PT.Soci Mas Deli Serdang. This research uses multiple regression analysis, the classical assumption test, and test hypotheses in the form of uji-t, uji-F, and coefficient determination test. With the aid of a computerized system (the computer program SPSS version 21). The results showed that the leadership of the PT. Soci Mas can be said to be good based on the responses of the respondents with an average value of 3.89, the organizational culture at PT. Soci Mas can be said to be good based on the responses of the respondents with an average value of 4.08, then the leadership has a positive and significant influence on employee performance with a value of 0000, the organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on employee performance with a value of 0027, and there is a positive and significant relationship between leadership and organizational culture on employee performance can be demonstrated by test-F where the significance value of 0.000 is less than 0.05. The coefficient of determination on Employee Performance shown by R Square is 0.514, which means that 51.4% Employee performance is influenced by variables of leadership and organizational culture, while 48.67% is influenced by other variables that are not included in this studyen_US
