dc.description.abstractThe background of this research is the success of the organization achieve various goals as well as its ability to meet the challenges , both internal and external nature , is largely determined by the ability to manage human resources . For that we need a motivation for employees in carrying out the work in the company . Motivation is important because with this motivation of every employee is expected to work hard and enthusiastically to achieve high productivity . This research describes two variables, namely the motivation and productivity of employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work motivation on employee productivity. This research was conducted in the Office of Director of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Jl. Sei Batang No. 2 Medan. The method used in this research is associative with a quantitative approach with a view to examine the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to employees who are in the Office of Director of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan which has been determined as 91 people. The data analysis method used consists of methods Test Instruments, Classical Assumption Test, Coefficient of Determination, Pearson Product Moment and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that the influence of work motivation on employee productivity at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. This is evidenced by the partial significance test (t). T test results for the variable X (Work Motivation) obtained t count = 12.704 with a significant level of 0.000. By using the 0.05 limit. By looking at the significance level is the level of significance <0.05 (0.000 <0.05) H0 rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, the direction of the positive regression coefficient means that motivation has a positive and significant impact on work productivity.en_US
