dc.description.abstractThe quality of school life has an important role in fostering positive views and feelings while at school. With positive views and feelings that can make students able to behave in accordance with the rules or norms that apply in the school environment. School rules and norms serve as guidelines for disciplinary behavior in SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar students. This research is a quantitative correlational study that aims to determine the relationship between the quality of school life and discipline in students. Data was collected using cluster sampling technique by distributing the scale to 266 students of SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. The measuring instrument used is the quality of school life scale which is based on the aspects proposed by Batten and William (1981) with a reliability value of 0.936 and a discipline scale based on the aspects proposed by Hurlock (1999) with a reliability value of 0.922. The data were analyzed statistically by using Pearson Product moment. The results of data analysis showed a significant correlation between the quality of school life and discipline in SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar students.en_US
