dc.description.abstractBasically a company or business organization has a goal to be able to survive, make a profit and grow. It certainly can be achieved by using a strategy or approach that is able to compete with other companies. TQM is an approach or strategy in running the business to maximize the competitiveness of the organization through continuous improvement on products, services, people, processes, and environment. The method used is the associative research is a quantitative method of research that seeks to examine how a variable interrelated and associated with other variables, or whether a variable cause changes in other variables using functions - statistical functions. With the aim to find out the views of consumers in the implementation of Total Quality Management to the progress of business based on the views of consumers. This study conducted on RM. Lobu Bara Jalan Purbasinomba No. 29 Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara with a sample of 100 respondents who are consumers of RM Lobu Bara. The results of this study based on the results of the t test obtained t count value for the variable TQM (6165) is greater than the value t table (1984), or sig t for variable TQM (0.000) is smaller than alpha (0.05) that Ha is received, so the variable TQM has a positive and significant effect on the progress of business in the RM Lobu Bora. The results of the coefficient of determination that R Square of 0512. This shows that 51.2% of TQM variables (X) can affect Business Progress variable (Y). while the remaining 48.8% is influenced by other factors outside of the study variablesen_US
