Strategi Punguan Marga Batak Toba pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah di Kabupaten Dairi (Studi Deksriptif tentang Upaya Punguan Marga Batak Toba dalam Rangka Memenangkan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Dairi Periode 2013-2018)

Abstract

The District Election is matter concern of community in determining the eligible leaders to leading a region. In Dairi’s District Election on 2013, the community participates in the campaign process and implementation, include society of Batak Toba. This study aims to find out how the strategy of Batak Association (Punguan Marga) in winning the District Election and also to find out how the values of Batak’s culture used by the candidates and their success team as capital and network to winning Dairi’s District Election 2013. This research used descriptive qualitative method which aims to describe the strategies of Batak Association (Punguan Marga) and candidates to winning elections. The research location was at Sidikalang, District of Dairi. The informants consisted of the leader of Batak Associations, the candidates of Dairi’s district election 2013 and also the success-team of the candidates. The data were gathered by conducting observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary study.
