This study aims to analyze how the influence of intrinsic motivation and
extrinsic motivation on the performance of Grabbike drivers in the city of Medan.

Sampling using purposive sampling technique using 100 respondents as the
research sample. Primary data in this study were obtained from distributing
questionnaires through google forms and conventional questionnaires, and
secondary data obtained through library research. The analytical method used is
validity test, classical assumption test, reliability test, multiple linear regression
analysis and hypothesis testing.
The results of the research conducted indicate that the intrinsic motivation
variable (X1) has a significant effect on performance. And extrinsic motivation
variable (X2) has a significant effect on performance, intrinsic motivation and
extrinsic motivation variables simultaneously affect performance. Based on the
coefficient of determination test, there is a fairly close relationship between
intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on performance with an R value of
0.500. Through the value of R square, there is a 23.5% contribution of intrinsic
motivation and extrinsic motivation to performance. While the remaining 76.5%
is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study.
