dc.description.abstractEvery job that is done is always influenced by every motivation that exists in doing work professionally such as being a Grabbike driver who needs to fulfill the necessities of life by working as a Grabbike driver. Every job is always motivated by basic things, one of which is motivation by seeing that motivation is divided into 2 forms, namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. This study aims to analyze how the influence of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on the performance of Grabbike drivers in the city of Medan. The influence of the related variables, namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation, will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on performance. This research uses quantitative research with associative approach. Sampling using purposive sampling technique using 100 respondents as the research sample. Primary data in this study were obtained from distributing questionnaires through google forms and conventional questionnaires, and secondary data obtained through library research. The analytical method used is validity test, classical assumption test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the research conducted indicate that the intrinsic motivation variable (X1) has a significant effect on performance. And extrinsic motivation variable (X2) has a significant effect on performance, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation variables simultaneously affect performance. Based on the coefficient of determination test, there is a fairly close relationship between intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on performance with an R value of 0.500. Through the value of R square, there is a 23.5% contribution of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation to performance. While the remaining 76.5% is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study.en_US
