Identifikasi Iklim, Tanah dan Irigasi pada Lahan Potensial Pertanian di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

The intention of its research are for an agricultural resource develop planning in Deli Serdang. The purpose of this research was to explore agro-climate and soil condition as well as supporting infrastructures such as irrigation facilities in five sites wich line with one of the government programs to promote Deli Serdang as main stapple crops production areas. Aspects that have been identified were climate condition, topography, soil condition, prediction for erotion, hydrology and irrigation system and condition for irrigation facilities. The research found that the climate in the study areas was classified as Oldeman D1, the topography was flat (0 – 3 %) and hill (15 – 40 %), the type of soil texture were clay loam, sandy clay loam, and clay. The highest actual erotion is 0,009 – 31,65 ton/Ha/year. The condition of irrigation facilities mostly well.
