Identifikasi Iklim, Tanah dan Irigasi pada Lahan Potensial Pertanian di Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The background of this research was as development planning of resources of the agricultural land in the Langkat Regency. The aim of this research was to analyse the condition agroklimat and the land likewise the infrastructure of the supporter like irrigation facilities to five locations of the research in order to support the production of the food crop in the Langkat Regency. Aspects that it was identified were the condition for the climate, the topography, the condition for the land, the prediction of the erosion, the hydrology system, and the irrigation as well as the condition for irrigation means. Results of the research showed that the climate was in the location of the research classed into Oldeman the type E2, the flat topography (0 –3%), the Gradient (3- 8%), rather askew (8 – 15%), and rather steep (30 – 45%). The texture of the land that is loam clay, sandy clay, clay and loam. The actual erosion that is 0.0113 – 31,3345 ton/Ha/the year. The condition for irrigation means is generally good.
