Analisis Pengembangan Komoditas Unggulan Hortikultura di Kabupaten Karo (Tinjauan Keteknikan Pertanian)

Abstract

PRIMA MEDISTA GINTING: Analysis of Main Commodities Horticulture Development in district of Karo (Review of Agricultural engineering), supervised by ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR and SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY. As an agricultural center area in North Sumatra, Agricultural Development of Karo regency depends mainly on the region's comparative advantage of land resources as the main supported agricultural production. In farm work,the farmers in district of Karo still using conventional methods and have not been adopted many of appropriate technologies. This research was conducted to determine how far were the application of agricultural engineering in Distric of Karo. The results showed that the usage of agricultural engineering applications in Karo Regency were still very minimum due to very low knowledge of farmers about agricultural engineering.
