Abstract

ESTHY AKNESYA SIMORANGKIR. Characterization of Leaf Disease on Six Hybrid Derivatives Seedling Clones of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus pellita PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk. Toba Samosir, North Sumatra. Under Guidance NELLY ANNA S.Hut., M.Si and Dr.. Ir. EDY BATARA MULYA SIREGAR, MS. Symptoms of the disease that attacks the dominant hybrid derivative clone of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus pellita at nursery locations found in the leaves . Characterization of leaf diseases need to do that aims to characterize the leaf symptoms , the level of intensity and widespread attack , and identify the causes of leaf disease. Observation of leaf symptoms done visually on 6 clones , also conducted extensive computation intensity levels and cause disease Observations conducted macroscopic disease include diameter , color , and form colonies , and microscopic includes konidiospora , shape , size of conidia . The results showed that there are 7 types of leaf symptoms , the intensity of the disease showed immune clone 5 , and 1 clones resistant . Most widespread form of disease symptoms from reddish patches of 29.8 % infected by Phaeophleospora sp . , And other pathogenic fungi found attacking hybrid derivative clones of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus pellita is Pestalotia sp . , Fusarium sp . , Cylindrocladium sp . , and Aspergillus sp .
