Persepsi dan Partisipasi Masyarakat terhadap Sumber Daya Hutan (Studi Kasus Tahura Bukit Barisan, Kawasan Hutan Sibayak II, Kabupaten Karo)

Abstract

RENA NOVELIA DAMANIK : Human’s Perception and Participation of Forest Resources (Study Case in Tahura Bukit Barisan, Sibayak II Forest Area, Karo District. Supervised by ODING AFFANDI and LILIEK PUDJI ASMONO. Tahura Bukit Barisan has good variety potentials enough to be developed. However, Tahura Bukit Barisan’s management can not get maximal result if the rate of human’s perception and participation haven’t been known yet. Whereas, the rate of human’s perception and participation in existing can be basis for UPT Pengelola Tahura Bukit Barisan to empower human so that they will be more active in managing and using forest potency. So, the rate of human’s perception and participation of Tahura Bukit Barisan have to been known. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling. This riset uses primer and secondary data. Primer data can be gotten from survey and direct observation and interview by spread of quisioner with PRA technique (Participatory Rural Appraisal). Then, counted the rate of human’s perception and participation by using formula, then it will be grouped into three categories namely high, medium and low. The result of riset is the level of human’s in Dolat Rayat Village located in Dolat Rayat District, Jarang Uda and Merdeka Village located in Merdeka District is 53,86% (medium), the rate of human’s participation for some acivities such as planning 25,70% (low), actuating 24,77% (low) and evaluation 30.57% (low).
