Identifikasi Lahan di Kawasan Hutan Lindung dengan Menggunakan Citra Landsat TM Melalui Analisis Digital Elevation Model (DEM) di Kecamatan Aek Natas dan Na IX-X Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Study on land identification and appointment for protection forest area was carried out in forest of Aek Natas district and Na IX-X district. 'Labuhanbatu regency of Nortn Sumatera. The Protection Forest mapping was designed by Geographic Information System (GISt The result would be a capability. From overlay about three limited criteria, the result showed that protection forest area about Aek Natas district is 27.727,064 Ha and Na IX-X district is 21.186,522 Ha. The research so given that relied on the field by the three dimension (3D) shown, were supported by a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) analysis. It was also used remotely sensed data to collect land cover features in protection forest area. By using Landsat TM image data acquired in 2003, activities in protection forest area can be identified and detected, were covered protection forest area about 1.375,39 Ha in Aek Natas district and 2.945,549 Ha in Na IX-X district was not occupied by forest cover.
