dc.description.abstractDhany Nugraha.Health Mapping Trees At the University of North Sumatera. Supervised by YUNUS AFIFUDDIN and LUTHFI HAKIM. Use of application Geographic Information Systems ( GIS ) to determine the distribution of tree pain as one of the techniques to simplify tree health care at the University of North Sumatra is one of the effective and efficient manner . The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution and identification of tree species and quality at the University of North Sumatra . This study uses a standard Forest Health Management in determining the category of healthy and diseased trees ( low damage , moderate and severe ) . The process of making a map of the distribution of diseased trees in USU done using Arc View 3.3 software and Garmin BaseCamp . The results showed that there are the types of trees in North Sumatra University of damaged / impaired in mild scale up being is a kind of mahogany , Saga , Ketapang , Asam Jawa , glodokan Poles , Mango , Jackfruit , Teak , Teak White , attack or symptoms of disease both derived from pathogens or human activity that is often found cancer , damage to the leaves , and branches are broken or dead.en_US
