dc.description.abstract | Since Suharto's collapse, the spirit to implement regional autonomy has spread throughout the country, both at the city level and to the villages, on the basis that all people can participate in the development of the country. The implementation of regional autonomy is implemented in stages, including at the research site in Paya Sampir Village. The election of the new village head took place in 2009, 10 years after the regional autonomy law was implemented and 11 years after Suharto did not serve as President. This study seeks to describe and analyze the political strategy of Mrs. Siti Fatimah Br Sembiring in her efforts to win the 2009 Paya Sampir Village Head Election. as well as opportunities and challenges in its actualization. In the village of Paya Sampir itself, which is the research location for researchers, it shows that there are several political strategies carried out by Mrs. Siti Fatimah Br Sembiring in winning the Village Head Election (Pilkades), including her efforts to map voters both in terms of groups and their respective interests, to facilitated Ms. Siti Fatimah Br Sembiring in campaigning, secondly Ms. Siti Fatimah conducted an interesting and measurable campaign, then she tried to maintain solidity between the success teams and did political marketing and finally she branded charismatic leaders candidates. The theories and concepts that the author uses as an analytical knife in this research are Political Strategy Theory, Political Campaigns and Political Communication, while the available concepts are Village Heads and Village Head Elections. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, which requires researchers to describe
