Prospek Pengelolaan Fasilitas Rekreasi di Taman Hutan Raya Dr Muhammad Hatta Provinsi Sumtera Barat

Abstract

The aim of these study are to estimate the demand similarity of recreation benefit in Tahura Dr. Muhammad Hatta based on travel cost method, to estimate the management prospect in Tahura through discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, to know the development direction alternative and the impact from Tahura management. The study method is by giving the questioner to the visitors. From the study result, the similarity estimate model of recreation demand, based on travel cost method that is : Y = 25,53 - 0,00016 (x) The result of correlation test and variant analysis between recreation demand (Y) and parameter of average travel cost (x), show that the influence of travel cost to the recreation demand is real in significant 95% (F count = 7,39 > F table = 5,99) and (t count = 2,720 > t table = 1,943). It shows that the similarity can be used as an estimate model of recreation demand. In economic analysis aspect, prospect management of Tahura for period of time effort during 20 years, based on DCF analysis with discount rate 10%, is getting net present value positive, it is about Rp. 2.632.240.140. Benefit cost ratio about 1,63 and internal rate of return about 20,093 %. Based on the criteria of investment advisability analysis, so the Tahura Dr. Muhammad Hatta is feasible to be managed. From the aspect development direction alternative, Tahura has two tourism development alternatives. The first is tourism activities development and the second is tourism facilities development in Tahura Dr. Muhammad Hatta. Beside that, the impact of Tahura management will be positive if the management and development obey the regulation, which has been decided by the government, and it also must consider the kind of aspect like economic, social and ecological.
