This study aims to determine the knowledge and attitude of the suburban
community of Medan to its decision to use the products of sharia banking
services, based on the geographical residence that influence it.
Population in this research is suburban society of Medan consisting of
Medan Tembung, Medan Denai, Medan Tuntungan and Medan Amplas. Data
were collected through questionnaire method to 100 respondents. Sampling
technique in this research is done by Non-probability sampling technique with
incidental sampling and purposive sampling approach. The type of data used is
primary data and secondary data. The analysis technique used is multiple linear
regression. Based on the result of research, we get the regression equation as
follows: Y = 8,139 + 0,639 X1 + 0,380 X2
Based on the analysis of statistical data, the indicators in this study have
valid and reliable results. In the classical assumption test, multicollinearity free
regeresi model, no heterokedastisity and normal distributed data. In this study the
most influential independent variables are variables of knowledge with regression
coefficient 0.639, then attitude variable with regression coefficient 0,380
Hypothesis testing using partial significance test (t test) showed that
independent variables of knowledge and attitude proved to have a significant
effect. Then through the simultaneous significance test (F test) it is known that all
independent variables are feasible to test the dependent variable ie the decision.
The Adjusted R Square number of 0.738 indicates that 73.8% of the decision to
manipulate or borrow in the Sharia Bank can be explained by all independent
variables in the regression equation. While the rest of 26.2% explained by other
factors.
