Pergerakan IKOHI Sumatera Utara (Studi Deskriptif : tentang Pelanggaran Hak Asasi Manusia Berat Tahun 1965-1966 di Sumatera Utara)
Abstract
Research it is based on historical development of the indonesian nation has
happened various forms of human rights violations whether done by people and
the state, after the collapse of the Orde Baru regime of Indonesia raised awareness
in addressing human rights issues and has prompted the People's Consultative
Assembly (MPR) in the Assembly issued a decree on Human Rights and also the
establishment of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM).
When talking about human rights violations, human rights violations that have
occurred in Indonesia, one of the human rights violations that I raised are serious
human rights violations that occurred in the year 1965-1966 after political tragedy
1965, namely the Security Operations Command and Order (Kopkamtib) held
Kalong Operation and Trisula Operation, they arrest, detain and interrogate people
suspected PKI in various places. Furthermore, without a court proceeding, those
people discarded into detention camps and torture they experienced various forms
of mild to severe. An estimated 500 thousand to 3 million people were killed by
the Orde Baru government in 1965-1966 in North Sumatra, but until now this fact
is covered up and the perpetrators were never brought to justice. IKOHI North
Sumatra is one of the organizations fight for justification the disclosure of cases in
1965-1966 is Serious human rights violations. IKOHI aims to uncovering this case
in a transparent and widely publicized and processed fairly. Therefore, The
movement of which performed by IKOHI in addressing the serious human rights
violations in North Sumatra Year 1965-1966 be interesting to researched.
