Kinerja Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (Suatu Studi terhadap Kinerja Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Simalungun Periode 2009-2014)

Abstract

Including Parliament House also has a function, namely: (1) Legislation, (2) Budgeting, and, (3) Controlling. This is the discussion of indicators on the performance of members of parliament. Performance Parliament discussed here is the performance of legislators Simalungun 2009-2014. Seeing still many problems in the District Simalungun unresolved and aspirations of the people who tend not to be heard, a big question mark. Parliament as a representative body of the people and members of Parliament as a representative of the people to meyalurkan aspirations to the government was not able to properly carry out its performance. In the writing of this thesis, used two theories to explain the performance of members of Parliament, namely the Theory of Political Representation and Performance Theory. Actually there is also another theory that is used Theory of Political Parties, because legislators can advance in the Legislature because pemeilihan members through political parties. But the discussion of political parties is not too much, because the research discussed in this paper is about performance. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that Parliament should be able to improve its performance Simalungun, because that was found from the results of the study, the performance of board members can not be said to be good.
