| dc.description.abstract | This research entitled "Role of the School Committee in the distribution of
School Operational Assistance (Descriptive Study: SD. N 173 105 Tarutung,
North Tapanuli). This research was conducted in elementary school. N 173 105
Tarutung, North Tapanuli. The purpose of this study is to determine what will be
undertaken by the School Committee in carrying out its role and function in the
distribution of funds the School Operational Assistance (BOS). This study uses
interviews with key informants is chairman of the Elementary School. N 173 105
Tarutung, North Tapanuli and regular informant of elementary school principal. N
173 105 Tarutung, North Tapanuli and their parents. Then the data obtained were
analyzed with descriptive analysis method.
The results showed that in the channeling of funds BOS, School
Committee carry out its roles and functions with reference to the Kepmendiknas
No. 44 of 2002 and the Book of Reference use of BOS funds. BOS Distribution is
conducted through several stages starting from planning to the use of BOS funds.
In the planning, the use of BOS funds are divided into criteria for the use of BOS
funds include Education Unit Performance criteria, the criteria of Labor
Education, Educational Facilities criteria and other matters related to education.

transparent, accountable and democratic society where the use of BOS funds are
always published to the public and School Committee also always involve
communities, parents, students and related parties in carrying out the roles and
functions.
Based on the data obtained, both from interviews and observations,
researchers see that there are no sections in the Elementary School Committee. N
173105 Tarutung, North Tapanuli. Formation section in the School Committee
membership is required for the formation of the section to further improve the
performance of schools in which members of the Committee shall obtain the
division of tasks and responsibilities more clearly between the members of the
School Committee.
