dc.description.abstractChild sexual abuse cases becomes one of the child issues that get noticed by Indonesian society, for nowadays in particular. According to the data from KPAID SUMUT in 2015, the classification of finished case on child sexual abuse cases are decreasing over the previous year. Those cases were facing an uneasy settlement process, whether it was the law process towards the perpetrator, as well as the settlement of physical-psychological rehabilitation, and social reintegration for the child victims. Various factors like the internal and external factors can affecting the settlement process of child sexual abuse cases, and those could be the proponent factors or inhibiting factors of the settlement. According to the background mentioned above, the researcher draws out the research issue then making it into a research entitled The Factors that Affect the Settlement of Child Sexual Abuse Cases In Assisted of Indonesian Children Protection Regional Commision of North Sumatera Province. This research was a study case type, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. According to the research that have been held, then the result obtained about the factors that affect the child sexual abuse settlement cases in assisted of Indonesian Children Protection Regional Commision of North Sumatera Province are internal and external factors. From both factors, the researcher finds the factors that proponent or inhibiting the settlement process of child sexual abuse cases especially in assisted of KPAID SUMUT. The proponent factors in the settlement process of child sexual abuse cases in assisted of KPAID SUMUT in this research are the child victims, their family as the reporter of case denunciation, and also from the KPAID SUMUT side itself. Whereas the inhibiting factors are the perpetrator of child sexual abuse act, law apparatus, and also another sides such as the relative, lawyer, or mass media.en_US
