sector workers is a priority because the labor outside this working relationship
dominates the labor force in Indonesia. In the implementation of this program there
are still obstacles that occur include: lack of cooperation between the Social Security
Administering Agency (BPJS) Employment with the informal sector workers, lack of
socialization, the difficulty of contacting self-employment, lack of information on the
importance of BPJS Employment for sector workers Informal, as well as other
obstacles that are limited in the payment of benefits for the informal sector, given the
income earned by the informal sector is not always fixed.
Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) Manpower is one of the public
legal programs that is responsible to the president and functions to organize the
program of old age pension, pension insurance, death insurance and accident
insurance for all Indonesian workers including foreigners who work at least 6 (Six)
months in Indonesia.
The problem discussed in this research is What are the Obstacles of Social
Security Agency (BPJS) Employment for the Informal Sector in Tegal Sari Mandala
III Sub-District of Medan Denai Sub-district. The purpose of this research is to know
Apasajakah Barriers of membership Social Security Agency (BPJS) Employment for
the Informal sector in Tegal Sari Mandala III District Medan Denai District. Through
this research is expected to develop concepts and theories pertaining to social
security.
This research was conducted in Kelurahan Tegal Sari Mandala III District of
Medan Denai. This research is classified as descriptive research type with total
population of 2851 people. The soul is then taken as many as 97 samples. Sampling
was done using Taro Yaman sampling technique. To obtain data, the researcher uses
data collection technique of library study and field study by using questionnaire and
interview instrument. In conducting data analysis, researchers used quantitative
analysis methods with descriptive data analysis techniques. Based on the results of
data analysis can be concluded that the informal sector workers in Tegal Sari
Mandala III village still many who do not understand about the importance of BPJS
Employment.
