Juvenile delinquency can be attributed to the influence of family functioning.
Teenagers who come from families with the conditions of the functioning of a bad
family, the core problem they face is the lack of attention, supervision and
affection from both parents and parents who are too busy earning a living so
ignore the oversight of the development of their child's behavior and consequently
teen seeking attention and affection outside the scope of the family and also raise
the dignity of himself by doing naughtiness.
This study used a qualitative approach, the research conducted with the
aim depict or describe objects and phenomena to be observed. Mechanical
analysis is carried out by analyzing the data that begins by examining all available
data from various sources collected, studied the data, and organizing it. The
purpose of this study was to describe the condition of juvenile family functioning
in the village of Sei Kera Hilir district of Medan struggle I Medan.
The results showed naughtiness committed by juveniles was influenced by
the economic background, ineffective communication and a lack of attention from
