Respon Masyarakat Nelayan terhadap Pelaksanaan Program Bpjs Ketenagakerjaan Bukan Penerima Upah di Kampung Nelayan Seberang Lingkungan Xii Kelurahan I Kecamatan Medan Belawan

Abstract

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is presented to protect and to facilitate employee‟s prosperity throughout Indonesia. For long time, protection given only to them who worked in formal sector, however, the informal sector workers are ignored, whereas the employees who work in informal sector are the biggest contributors in economic matters. Therefore, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan established Social Assurance program on behalf of not wage recipient employees in order to embrace every employee in Indonesia. Fisherman is one of the workers who work in informal sector that become the object of this research. The response is proved by the knowledge and comprehension of the fisherman to the program of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan not wage recipient, their attitude and participations toward BPJS ketenagakerjaan not wage recipient program . There are 452 households as the research population and there are 82 households as the sample of the research. The instruments of the research are questionnaire, observation, and interview. To know the response of the society to the implementation of BPJS ketenagakerjaan not wage recipient, measuring of the data was done by using Likert scale. Based on the total result, it is found out that the response of fisherman society at Kampung Nelayan Seberang toward the program of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan not wage recipient is positive with the total average number 0,2.
