Drug abuse is a very complex issue, so that it needs the participation of all
parties to work together to deal with it. Such a handling the prevention,
eradication, and recovery of the victims of drug abuse. These efforts would have
to be comprehensive, maximally, consistently, and ongoing basis. Remembering
that the drug is a recurrent phenomenon, where is a drug abuser who restoration
can re-use the drugs with the same dose as much as when before undergoing
recovery or even more (relapse).
Research carried out at Panti Sosial Pamardi Putra “Insyaf” North
Sumatera and Klinik Pemulihan Adiksi Narkoba Medan Plus Lau Cih. The key
informant in this research is a resident from Panti Sosial Pamardi Putra “Insyaf”
North Sumatera and two persons from Klinik Pemulihan Adiksi Narkoba Medan
Plus Lau Cih. Additional informants are two persons from family of resident who
became a key informant. And the key informant is Head of PSPP “insyaf” North
Sumatera and Program manager of Medan Plus Lau Cih. Technique of collecting
data is by the study of literature, in-depth interviews, and observation. The data
obtained in the field and then analyzed by the researchers described qualitatively.
Until finally can be concluded the results from these studies.
The results showed the absence of special social treatment which is
significant for drug abusers (relapse) at Panti Sosial Pamardi Putra “Insyaf”
North Sumatera and Klinik Pemulihan Adiksi Narkoba Medan Plus Lau Cih. And
based on research that has researcher did, researcher give an advise about social
model of treatment for drug abuser (relapse) such as running a therapy by creating
a dedicated community of drug abusers (relapse) in rehab (Therapeutic Relapse
Community Model), intensifying treatment which aimed at forming a positive
mindset for drug abusers (relapse), do specific response to the drug abusers
(relapse) resident according to the result of the assessment and identification of
factors that cause relapse, then the model social practices where the resident tried
to go back to their environment in order to measure the degree of resilience in the
rejection of drugs (coping response) and then can be used as material for
evaluation in advanced handling of the resident.
